The Wild Wooldale Buddies
|The Wild Wooldale Buddies are our very keen and active gardening club. They are constantly digging, planting, weeding, building, painting and much, much more. The most exciting time is harvest time when they collect all the things they have grown. Some of it even goes to the kitchen for school dinners and some of it is used to make treats to sell at the Autumn Fair.|
Roast Dinner Day 2017
On 15th November we celebrated Food For Life Roast Dinner Day again. Our catering team, aided by the hard work of our Wild Wooldale Buddies, cooked up a delicious roast dinner for pupils and guests. Even Mrs Wood put on an apron and joined in!! The Buddies have spent all year planting and growing some delicious fruit and veg which was cooked and served by our lovely school chefs. It was a truly delicious and nutritious meal - all with minimal food miles too, so better for us and our environment. This year we have made a video to tell you all about it....

We wrote a blog about our experiences leading up to Roast Dinner Day on the Food for Life website and won a fantastic aluminium veg trug. Read our blog here and have a look at the photos below...
